Understanding Isolation as a Defence Mechanism

Social withdrawal and isolation are common among youth who struggle with trust, self-worth, or fear of rejection. Many have experienced environments where their voices were unheard, leading to disengagement as a form of self-protection.

Our Approach:

  • Encouraging safe, non-judgmental interactions
  • Reframing negative self-perceptions and improving communication skills
  • Using physical and social activities to foster teamwork and confidence
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to rebuild trust in relationships

By fostering meaningful connections and creating safe spaces for self-expression, we support youth in overcoming their fears of social engagement and help them reintegrate into their communities with confidence.
